NOW UNTIL OCTOBER 20th - Food Geography #1. This NEW event is the brainchild of the husband-and-wife team behind The Husband Cooks. The theme for the kick-off is the South. This is your chance to show off some Southern cooking, or try it for the very first time. Get all the details to participate here.

NOW UNTIL OCTOBER 21st - Blog Party #15. Join Stephanie's monthly party, featuring appetizers and cocktails. This time, the theme is all about something literary. Complete details can be found here. Party on!

NEW!! NOW UNTIL OCTOBER 30th - Food Destinations #3 - My Favorite Chocolate Shop. Hosted by the lovely Emily from Chocolate in Context, simply visit the local chocolate shop that you like most of all and write about it. You may choose any kind of chocolate purveyor--the salon of a brilliant French-trained chocolatier, an old-fashioned candy store, a new mecca of chocolate haute-cuisine--as long as it reflects your personal taste. You may also interpret "hometown" however you like--it could be the place where you live, or the place where your heart lives. Complete details can be found here.

NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th - Retro Recipe Challenge #4. RRC#4 is all about Fall Favorites. Go on the hunt for recipes published between 1920 and 1980 that work well in fall: apple cider donuts, cheesy chicken casseroles, hot toddys, squash gratins, etc. – what ever makes you think "fall" and "retro" is perfect! NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th - The Spice is Right VIII - Frankenstein's Monster. "Let us celebrate November by switching things around. Try using a spice (or blend of spices) with a technique or dish from a cuisine that typically never uses that spice (or blend). For example, you could make a stir-fry with cardamom, or ras al hanout paella, or chicken paprikash with Chinese five spice powder instead." Complete details can be found here.
