NOW UNTIL JANUARY 5th - Mac-n-Cheese Off. Hosted by CookieCrumb from I'm Mad and I Eat and Kevin from Seriously Good. CC says, "It's not a contest. It's a lifestyle choice." If anyone else wants to participate in the macaroni and cheese lifestyle they are encouraged to post their version. After all, you can have bad mac-n-cheese, but you can't have too much mac-n-cheese. Details are here and here
NOW UNTIL JANUARY 6th - Food Destinations #4. Hosted by Mango & Lime, this round, the theme is "My Favorite Gourmet Gift Shopping Spot." To join in the fun, check out the complete details here.
NOW UNTIL JANUARY 21st - Taste of Terroir. Hosted by Anna's Cool Finds, here are the deets: Create and post an entry on your blog which highlights a food or drink, or food/drink product, or recipe which highlights terroir in your location which you can write about with a personal perspective including a photo. Describe how it relates to your locale. Thought joggers include a special food only served at an annual event - like a fair, foods produced from ingredients from a particular farm, a restaurant with an unique local dish, an antique recipe from your area. Complete details to participate are here.
NOW UNTIL JANUARY 22nd - Waiter There's Something In My... Stew. New for '07 blog event run across Cooksister, Passionate Cook and on SpittoonExtra. I have the uncontrolled joy of announcing and hosting the first theme. It is going to be 'stews'. Yep, that simple and, as is the intention with Waiter There's Something In My, all inclusive. What is required is your take on the humble stew - a local speciality or something traditional, something seasonal perhaps, something new and adventurous or a tried and tasted recipe, created with love and devoured with passion. It is the perfect time of year, in the Northern Hempisphere at least, for warming, slow cooked, hearty food. Please email the URL of your entry by the 22nd January, include your blog's name, the name of the dish and your location to appear in the 'near the end of the month' write-up. Please make sure Waiter There Is Something is the subject line. Your write-up should, as is standard practice with these things, include a link back to this post.
NEW!! NOW UNTIL JANUARY 27th - Hay Hay, It's Donna Hay. This round, the topic is sweet or savory souffle and it is hosted by Tammi from Running with Tweezers. Complete event details can be found here.
NOW UNTIL JANUARY 31st - Behind the Apron. Hosted by 28 Cooks, it's a chance for food bloggers to show a picture of themselves and introduce themselves to their readers. As food bloggers, we focus so much on the food that we often reveal nothing of ourselves to our readers. That's where this "Behind The Apron" round-up comes in. Post a picture of yourself on your blog, revealing as much (tastefully, of course) or as little as you want. Introduce yourself, show us your family, do whatever you want. Send a link to your post to 28cooks AT gmail DOT com, and I will round them all up, posting the final tally on February 4th. Please make sure you place a link to this post in your entry. You can also feel free to snag the handy button up at the top. See even more details right here.
NOW UNTIL FEBRUARY 6th - World Nutella Day. Sara from Ms. Adventures in Italy and Shelley from At Home in Rome solemnly declare February 6th "World Nutella Day" - a day to celebrate, to get creative with, and most importantly, to EAT Nutella. Make your favorite dish or experiment with a new one! Posts are welcome through February 6th, 2007 - the round-up will be made on February 7. Complete details are available here.
